I have managed to wean clients off of me fairly easily, simply by standing behind the workmanship of the team I send. You could use a similar approach for the buyer’s benefit, to help them build and continue a relationship.
Sometimes we over dramatize our clients connection with us personally, or we are responsible for manufacturing an unnecessary bond to ourselves personally. If our plan is to sell one day, we should start changing the way we interact immediately.
